Discovering the art of identifying animal tracks and signs and exploring techniques to help us get the most out of our time out in our natural environment.

Tracking has been practiced by our hunter gather ancestors since the evolution of early man. Learn how to unlock our innate senses and capacity for observation and awareness.

There is nothing more rewarding than taking a walk in the woods in the early morning and trying to decipher the clues left for us. Once we begin to see these clues we can learn much about an animal’s behaviour and begin to feel an ancient and grounding link to our natural history.

We will be studying animal signs such as:

  • Footprints
  • Droppings
  • Feeding signs

As well as exploring how we can change the way we:

  • Move
  • Look (camouflage)
  • See
  • Hear
