One Day Course – Cost £55 Deposit £30
Sunday 20th May 2018
Corn dolly making is an ancient craft which is not widely practised these days.
Tutor Jenny Pritchard was taught the skill in her native East Anglia as a teenager and hopes that others will learn to keep the craft alive.
- Students will have the opportunity to learn about the history and traditions of corn dollies, understand about the varieties of wheat suitable for corn dollies and how it is grown and harvested.
- We will spend some time preparing straw for use, using appropriate materials and tools, and will make up to three types of corn dolly to take home.
- All materials are provided and hand-outs will be available.
- No previous experience is necessary.
