Students must have rush weaving experience, good dexterity, a good grasp of rush weaving techniques and the ability to weave standing up.

Over the two day course Rosie will teach you all the techniques to make a traditional Irish turf basket. It was a decorative basket used to keep peat blocks for burning on the fire in Ireland. You will learn triple check weave, pairing, foot track, draw down border and how to add handles to your project.
