Description

A One-Day Mindfulness Retreat

‘A Sense of Place’

Saturday 1st September 2018

10 am – 4 pm

This one-day retreat will combine Mindfulness, Poetry and Art in the tranquil surroundings of the Centre and the adjoining award-winning 50 acre woodland.

With guidance from your tutor you will learn to deeply connect with nature by using your senses of sight, sound, smell and touch which will not only deepen your connection with nature but also improve connection with yourself.

During this day you will be using the surrounding landscape to inspire you to create a unique piece of art work that you will take away with you.

The day will be very slow-paced with plenty of opportunity to explore and immerse yourself in the beautiful surroundings, find stillness and calm.

You will be able to allow yourself to ‘be’ and embrace the stillness and discover the acceptance and appreciation that will unfold naturally.

The day is lead by an experienced and qualified Mindfulness tutor, based at the Woodland Skills Centre, who will guide you through some short mindful meditation exercises that you can use at home to benefit your wellbeing.

At midday we will have a simple vegetarian meal together.

All materials and food are provided and included in the course fee.

No previous experience required. This course is suitable for anyone over the age of 18.

Places are strictly limited – Small group size – Booking essential
