A two day course focusing on the art of net making and natural cord production.
A rare and much requested course and an excellent way to consolidate and develop your bushcraft skills.
Net making brings together a range of bushcraft skills and is a wonderfully satisfying and addictive skill.
Students will also create a range of traditional fish hook using thorns, tree roots, fish bones and selected native British woods.
On this course participants will:
- Carve a netting needle and a gauge
- Gather, process and lay natural cordage from a variety of plants and trees
- Learn how to make a net using their netting needle and gauge
- Use a variety of natural materials and bushcraft techniques to create traditional fishing hooks.
