Saturday 12th January 2019
10am – 4pm
North East Wales Green Woodworking Group
New Association of Pole Lathe Turners and Greenwood Wood Workers & National Coppice Federation Local combined group meets.
We are planning our first meeting for Saturday the 12th January at the Woodland Skills Centre, Bodfari.
This first meeting will just be an open session where people can meet, chat, share skills and get to know each other. We can discuss future format but the proposal is that in subsequent meetings we’ll have some form of guest speaker from within our own ranks to talk about whatever they are interested in for the morning and a less formal session of skill sharing in the afternoon.
The plan is then to meet on the first Saturday of every other month for the rest of the year that would be (Sat 2nd March, Sat 4th May, Sat 6th July, Sat 7th Sept and Sat 2nd Nov).
These further meetings will be open to any member of the Association of Polelathe Turners and Green WoodWorkers or National Coppice Federation and their families.
The Woodland Skills Centre have agreed to allow us to use one of the centre rooms for a social area with access to the kitchen and toilet. They have also said we can have access to some materials for use on the day and some space to practice our crafts.
The Woodland Skills Centre have agreed to host the first meeting for free but it is only fair that we cover their costs so any subsequent meetings we would need to make a small charge per head to cover the costs they incur.
Please feel free to let others know about what we are doing if you feel they would be interested. If they need further details just pass this web page address.
If you are interested in the group just fill out the interest form below to be added to the mailing list.
