Saturday 2nd – Sunday 3rd July 2022

  • Learn about different types of bees in general and their differences in biological life-cycles
  • Learn the crucial role bees play in our ecosystem
  • Explore the threats and problems bees are encountering
  • Explore how best to become a “pollinator ambassador”
  • We will cover different ways we can help, including the importance of gardening for pollinating insects in creating bee-friendly gardens and green spaces
  • The course includes the opportunity to see a colony of honeybees and observe their life-cycle in their nest – all PPE will be provided
  • We will look at ways beekeepers can contribute to safeguarding our bee populations and explore whether this is a possible avenue for you
  • The course includes mindfulness exercises to improve well-being, becoming more aware of your senses, your environment and the natural rhythms of nature, working together to achieve a common goal and relaxing in a friendly environment.
  • There will be plenty of time for questions!
  • Suitable for complete newcomers to the topic
